  2024 GSCIS Distinguished Scholar Award Committee The Executive Committee cordially invites nominations for the 2024 GSCIS Distinguished Scholar Award. All members of the Caucus and the International Studies Association (ISA) are encouraged to nominate one or more senior scholars for this prestigious recognition. For the 2024 award, the region in focus is MENA.   CRITERIA: Nominees must have an exceptional teaching and publication record, demonstrating a consistent dedication to Global South scholarship, with a specific emphasis on the MENA region. Nominees must be members of the ISA and possess experience attending its annual conventions. Nominees must have a strong track record in the Global South region, qualifying them for consideration for the 2024 award. PRIZE: The distinguished scholar will receive a commemorative plaque, which will be presented during the annual ISA convention in San Francisco. In addition to the plaque, the recipient will be awarded a cash prize of $1,000. SE
